This year has been such a wonderful year for my business! As this year comes to a close, I wanted to post the “best of 2011″ for engagements, bridals, and weddings. I’ve been blessed with so many wonderful couples and have gained wonderful friendships with my brides. I will save the mushy stuff for the best of weddings blog post though.
I have loved my engagement sessions this year! Engagement sessions are a great time for me to see how the couple interacts and the best way to photograph them. It also helps them get comfortable in front of the camera and comfortable with me. The best part of course is having my couples laugh at my jokes for a whole hour! Haha. Kidding, sort of. Enjoy!
I cannot express how much I adore these two! Ellen & Quay are two of the most genuine and in love people I know.
One thing I love about being a wedding photographer is that I get to see the nervousness and happiness that happens before the guests see them at the ceremony. I loved seeing Ellen tear up several times before she saw Quay. Just talking about him and soaking in the day made her tear up. She was SO excited to be his wife! Quay’s reaction to seeing Ellen at their first look was priceless. He just kept smiling and soaking in the moment with his almost wife. They were the epitome of a happy couple.
It was such an honor to photograph these two! I can’t wait to see where the Lord takes them, I know it will be incredible!

The reaction every girl dreams of..

Ellen & Quay’s reception included games and a coke bar!

The Wimberly family is very special to me. Meredith is my best friend and was my roommate in college for 2 years. They are a funny, lively bunch for sure! After last year’s family session, I was excited to see what Mere planned for this year! Meredith decided to bring hot chocolate and whip cream this year to personalize their session. I think it turned out so cute and made the session so much fun for everyone! Enjoy this funny little fam!

What ideas do you have to make your session more personal and fun? I would love to here them!
I second shot for Jessica Mooney a while back for Michelle & Daniel’s wedding. This couple was the sweetest & most relaxed couple ever! Their wedding was no stress and just perfectly happy. They were absolutely thrilled to finally be a Mr. & Mrs.
Enjoy a few of my favorites!

Yesterday sweet Ellen married her best friend and I was thrilled to capture it all! I’m also so thrilled to be able to share these finally. It’s been a long time coming!
Ellen is one of the most beautiful and genuine people I know. I adore her blunt and funny personality! I am so so so unbelievably excited to FINALLY be able to share these gorgeous bridals. Seriously, is she not the most gorgeous bride you have ever seen?! I just love this girl.
Stay tuned for their sweet wedding!
They were high school sweethearts who shared their very first memories together in a tree house by the woods. This past spring, while standing in a New York art museum, Tavner asked Andie to spend the rest of her life with him. She said yes and on November 18th they said I do!
Andie and Tavner got married at the Parsons Table, just perfect for their fall wedding! The day was filled with happy tears and french press coffee. Every inch of the wedding screamed Andie & Tavner Threatt. Definitely one of the most beautiful and joyful wedding I have ever seen!
Bridesmaids dresses, invitations and centerpieces were all made by Andie! Love.That.Girl.

I shot their gorgeous DIY wedding back in August. Because of the weather and timeline of the day, there was not quite enough time to get the bride and groom photos we wanted. So we planned on doing a bridal session in the fall at White Rock lake and I think it turned out perfect! I so much enjoy taking pictures of this couple. So dang gorgeous!

Oh how I love this couple!! I shot Brandi & Scott’s wedding back in September. Time didn’t allow on the wedding day or before the wedding day for Brandi’s bridals and photos of the newlyweds. So Brandi & I planned a bridal session for after the wedding with Scott! I’m SO glad we did this! Not only did I love spending more time with these two but I loved being able to have so much time to take pictures of them. On top of all that, I was able to travel to the Houston area to take pictures of them in the Woodlands. I adored the tall pine trees & these sweet newlyweds!

Don’t ya just love them?! Check out their wedding day photos, here!
So excited to be posting this session! Ashley and David were an absolute JOY to shoot! They brought plenty of cute props with them and of course on top of that, they are so good looking!
My favorite thing about this couple is actually the story of how they met.
Ashley and David met at a restaurant for the first time on Valentines Day. This first meeting was not a date like you would assume because David was actually Ashley’s waiter!! They flirted throughout dinner and by the end of the night David found Ashley’s phone number on the table after she left. Obviously David took advantage of this gorgeous girl’s number and is soon making her a MRS!
Congrats you two! Can’t wait for 7-20-12!

Julie planned the sweetest mini session for her and boyfriend Travis a few weeks ago. Travis and Julie have been together for about two years now and wanted some photos to celebrate. Julie happens to be a photographer as well so I knew whatever she brought would be lovely. Travis let us use his grandfather’s land for the shoot and I’m so glad he did! I was in love with it! The trees and little country touches were just perfect! Thank you Julie & Travis for being AWESOME clients!
Be sure to check out Julie’s blog!
