woodlands proposal | ashley & chris

A few weeks ago my boyfriend Kevin and I were having dinner with his friend Chris. Chris mentioned that he had recently bought his girlfriend Ashley an engagement ring and would be proposing soon. Kevin and I were so excited and offered to come down and take pictures if he wanted. Last week Kevin got a call from Chris asking if we could come down and fake a photo shoot so he could propose on Saturday! Of course we said YES!

This past Saturday, Kevin and I drove to Houston to meet Chris the morning of the proposal to go over last minute details. The day before I had emailed Ashley asking her if she and Chris would mind posing for a few pictures before we met up for lunch. I lied and told her that a bridal client wanted example photos of the location. So the plan was to spend about ten minutes or so pretending to do a photo shoot and then Chris would propose with their family behind him.

Saturday afternoon Kevin and I met up with Chris and Ashley to start the fake shoot. I had hoped to take pictures for about 10-15 minutes but I just couldn’t handle my nerves anymore! I did three poses and could tell everyone was nervous, except Ashley of course. I walked them over to the spot and told Ashley I just wanted a few quick photos of her alone. While I was shooting Ashley, Kevin passed Chris the ring and ran to get the family to hold signs that said “Will you marry me?”. As soon as I saw Chris on one knee behind Ashley through my camera, I told her to turn around. The photos tell the rest of the story…..
